November Newsletter

Hello, Sue here, I hope you're well. It's been a busy time for us since my last newsletter. Following our Hochanda programmes in October we were at the Stitching, Sewing and Hobbycrafts shows at the SECC in Glasgow and the week after at the NEC in Birmingham. Both shows were extraordinarily busy for us and if you attended either show and visited our stand, thank you very much, it was lovely to meet so many enthusiastic crafters. Lisa and I hope our demos inspired you and you've been playing with your new craft goodies ever since - why not share a photo of your Imagination Crafts projects on our Facebook page?? We'd love to see them!

Today's exciting news is that we are launching our BRAND NEW set of Sparkle Medium colours next Thursday evening at 8.00pm on Hochanda TV!! These are our first new Sparkle Medium colours for some years and there is much excitement here as the colours are beautiful, we're certain they are going to be very popular. There are eight new colours, including Blue Lagoon, Crushed Bilberry, Silver Dollar and Blackcurrant, all of which I have completely fallen for. They are all different to the other colours in the Sparkle Medium collection. We have been using them with some brand new stencils and they are already firm favourites with all of us. They're going to part of our new One Day Special, so the price is fantastic. If you've watched our shows on Hochanda before, you know how quickly we can sell out and as usual we only have so many ODS sets to go around, so please don’t miss out; get your order in early so you aren’t disappointed.

The new colours are not available from us at present as we didn’t have enough to go around, so that's another good reason for getting this fantastic deal from Hochanda.

With the weather turning colder recently we've had a few questions about Sparkle Medium getting dry, so I thought I'd give you a few tips on keeping yours in good condition...... Sparkle Medium is a water based product and over time the water evaporated and the Sparkle Medium gets thicker. To avoid it getting too thick - and that can happen if you aren't going to use it for a while - just add two teaspoons of boiling water into the pot before you put it away. Make sure you store it in a warm place (it is like us and doesn’t like getting cold!!)  If you have had yours for some years (and I know lots of you have) and it is thick and hard, please don’t throw it away, place the pot on a warm - not hot - radiator for a while then pull out the medium. You can cut it up into gorgeous chunky glitter, like I do, or, if it's thin enough, you might want to die cut it - make sure you smear a little Vaseline onto the cutting die first, so that the medium will release easily.   As I said above, Sparkle Medium likes warmth, so if you are using it during the cold winter months, put the pot on a warm radiator beforehand and it will make it more liquid and easier to use. Don’t forget that Sparkle Medium can be re-used, so keep an extra pot for your ‘waste’, the mixed colours are always gorgeous.

Kerri-Ann and I hope you will join us on Hochanda on Thursday evening at 8pm, then again on Friday at 9am, 12 noon, 4pm and 7pm. You will be pleased to know that we will have your favourite colours of Rusty Patina on the shows and I will be using them on glass with Starlights and Sparkle Medium. It looks amazing so don’t miss the demos. There are also some terrific 'Cyber Deals' during the programmes but only in very limited numbers, so don't delay checking out your baskets.

Thank you again for your support. Until next time, happy crafting. Love, Sue and all at Imagination
